Having listened to my friends’ feedbacks of their university consultants’ efforts, I would most definitely choose Susan again if I were to repeat the university application process. Her insight into my academic, athletic and social potentials combined with her thorough research into each university’s strengths and weaknesses found the schools that were a perfect fit for me. As an international applicant, I had no knowledge of US application but Susan relentlessly helped me build my essays ‘fit for an ivy’, with fine subtleties that highlighted a different aspect of me for each university. Her knowledge about what each admission committee looked for was priceless and I could not have submitted a stronger application. When it came down to picking the right school out of all my acceptances, her concern for my academic and social nourishment at each university was what made her advice so valuable. Susan not only drastically changes your chances of acceptance at the top schools, but I believe working with her on such a personal level brings you to a new level of self discovery.

I was accepted to Harvard Business School, Wharton, and Columbia, thanks to Apply Ivy! The application process was tough, but the insights and guidance I got from Susan, my consultant, made it palatable. I was thrilled with her level of professionalism and the personalized attention I received was first class.

I contacted Apply Ivy because I was concerned that I would have a difficult time distinguishing myself with what I thought was a rather "typical" background. Susan's guidance helped me develop unique content for my essays that I believe addressed all the elements the admissions committees were looking for. Her insights then helped me infuse passion into my essays that brought them alive. What made it easy (again...easy for the arduous task of writing a school essay) was that she was able to understand and articulate what the underlying purpose of each essay was and how to attack them such that I presented myself as a well-balanced candidate. I was/am really proud of my essays, and despite the countless revisions that Susan helped me work through, I feel they were my essays expressing my voice.

On a personal note, Susan was wonderful to work with. She was dedicated to me, always responsive, encouraging yet brutally honest, and patient.
My only regret is not having contacted Susan sooner because through our discussions I learned that she has great tips on how to start preparing the year before the application process truly begins. Thanks again, Apply Ivy!

Being a Chinese, whose native language is not English, I was so worried before I apply to the top-tier schools because my English was not presentable. I thought that this would be a disadvantage for me because I could not articulate clearly about the achievements I have made. After I worked with Susan, my confidence was restored. Because she had lots of experience working with international students, she could quickly grasp the key selling points of my background and helped me to present my story with strong impact. She's very detailed minded and sincere. After working with her for 6 months, not only have I completed an excellent school application, I have also improved my English ! I am very happy that we become friends now. It was my honor to have worked with Susan.

Let me begin by saying that before I employed Susan at ApplyIvy to help guide me through the business school application process, I had never before used such a service and was quite skeptical on its merit. However, having a familiar connection to an ex-pat from New York living in Hong Kong, especially one who is a top tier business school graduate herself, immediately endeared her to me. This was before she wooed me with her consistent patience, availability, and consummate attention to detail. I was most impressed, however, with Susan’s easy-going affability. This enabled me to discuss myself, and my accomplishments with her without any reticence. And thus enabled Susan to better understand me as a person and then to help me communicate my message through the application essays. Specifically targeting my vast international experience, language ability, and entrepreneurship, she helped me gain acceptance to HEC-Paris, consistently one of Europe’s premier business schools and recently ranked #1 overall among European business schools.

I worked closely with Susan-Joan for several months while I was applying to school. A fantastic listener, she was able to quickly sum up the strategy I should pursue over the next few months and helped me target the schools which would be the best fit for me. I was greatly impressed with her professionalism as well as her ability to see the potential strengths in my otherwise weak applications. She patiently edited my essays numerous times, polishing them until they shone. She listened to me carefully, and pointed out strengths I had never recognized and helped me incorporate those aspects of my personality into my application. She knows what admissions boards look for in applications as well as applicants, and is adept at putting your best foot forward. She took me to the next level and now I am a student at one of the top programs in the US! I enthusiastically and wholeheartedly recommend ApplyIvy!

I was accepted to both Stanford and MIT! Susan was invaluable during the entire application process. She made the effort to get to know me well enough to understand my motivation for applying and to judge what my strengths and weaknesses are. I believe that this knowledge allowed her to keep me and my application very focused. Her comments were brutally honest and pointed. I had to re-write my essays multiple times and I spent countless hours making sure that my writing is passionate and truly reflects who I am.
